A blacksmith's workshop on the edge of Brussels
Founded in 2011 by Romeo Lesac, LRMJ Project is an ironwork workshop based in Brussels. Every piece is designed, forged and assembled by our own hands, then installed by the same team. No subcontracting: the person who takes your measurements is the same person who forges your piece and fits it.
This way of working, increasingly rare, changes everything: a single point of contact from the first call to project handover, details controlled end to end, and clear accountability for the result.
What we forge
- Wrought-iron gates and fencing: hinged or sliding entrances, matching fencing.
- Railings and balustrades: staircases, balconies, mezzanines, terraces.
- Steel glass partitions and windows: workshop-style partitions, winter gardens, glazed extensions.
- Cast-iron balustrade restoration: a rare specialty, valuable for Brussels' architectural heritage.
- Canopies, awnings, metal staircases and forged furniture, shown on our project gallery.
How we work
It always starts with a simple conversation: you call or write, and we understand your project without the jargon. We then visit your property to take measurements and discuss styles, finishes and site constraints. You receive a detailed, free quote within 48 hours, with no obligation.
Fabrication happens entirely in our Brussels workshop. Depending on use and exposure, pieces are finished with epoxy, hot-dip galvanising or powder coating for lasting corrosion protection. Installation is carried out by our own team, with the careful finishing that makes the difference.
Brussels and all of Belgium
Our workshop is in Brussels. We work across all 19 municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region — Uccle, Ixelles, Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Schaerbeek, Forest, Etterbeek — and everywhere else in Belgium: Flemish Brabant, Walloon Brabant, Antwerp, Ghent, Liège, Namur. For a project further afield, just ask.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a custom wrought-iron piece cost?
Since every piece is designed and forged for your project, the price depends on the dimensions, the design and the finish you choose. That's exactly why the visit and the quote are free: you get an accurate estimate within 48 hours, with no obligation.
Do you work with subcontractors?
No, never. Design, fabrication and installation are all carried out by our own workshop. That's been our commitment since 2011.
Does wrought iron need a lot of maintenance?
With the right finish (galvanising, powder coating or epoxy), a wrought-iron piece lasts for decades. A regular visual check and the odd touch-up after a chip is usually all it takes.
Do you work in my area?
Yes. Our workshop is in Brussels, and we work throughout Belgium. Call us with your project and your municipality.
